⚔ Rollcall

Turn your story into a comic strip

Reading a great round is fun. Seeing it is better. Rollcall can paint any round as a comic strip, and because players often split up and do completely different things, each character gets their own row of panels following their part of the story.

How it works

When a round resolves, the game turns the Game Master's narration into a comic strip: one row of panels per character showing what they did, and a final panel where the round ends. It draws your character from the appearance you gave them, and from how they look now in the story, so a new haircut or a black eye shows up in the picture.

Other people in the scene are drawn from their own descriptions, so the shopkeeper doesn't come out looking like your character.

Getting better pictures

Describe your character's look specifically: age, build, skin, hair and clothes. "Nineteen, slim, medium-brown skin, tight curls under a headscarf, oversized puffer jacket" gives a much more consistent result than "cool girl".

Big, visual actions make the best panels. A chase across rooftops paints better than checking your emails.

If your look changes in the story (a disguise, a new outfit), the picture follows. You can also edit your appearance at any time from the party panel.

Share them

Comic strips are made for the group chat. Every picture is saved with the story, so you can scroll back through a whole campaign as a comic.
