⚔ Rollcall

Blue Line

An AI police drama RPG for you and up to 3 friends

Rookie year in Chicago. The job is harder than the academy said.

Comic strip of a round in Blue Line: Nia, a careful rookie who wants neighbors to see more than a uniform; and Eli, a quick-witted rookie who takes notes before he takes chances.
Every round can be painted as a comic strip like this one, following each player's part of the story.

A round in Blue Line

Each player types what their character does. When everyone's in, the Game Master answers all of you at once.

Nia I ask the sergeant if anyone’s flagged the block’s recurring noise complaints before we head out.

Eli I check our assignment sheet twice; I’d rather catch a typo here than explain it later.

At 6:07, the roll-call room smells like burnt coffee and wet wool. Sergeant Alvarez pairs you together for the west beat, then pauses when Nia asks about the noise complaints on your first address. “Same building, three calls this month,” she says, sliding over a note from the community liaison: a tenant works nights and has a baby. Nia’s question earns you context, not a shortcut. Eli spots that the sheet lists the wrong apartment number; Alvarez corrects it before dispatch gets the bad address. Outside, the L rattles awake over a gray morning. Your first call is waiting. What do you do?

How a game works

Open a room in Blue Line, share the six-letter code, and everyone makes a character. Each round you all type what you do; the AI Game Master rolls the dice for anything risky, keeps track of your money, belongings, health and skills, and tells one shared story that reacts to every player. It remembers what happened earlier, so choices come back around. Play solo on your phone, or with friends on a call.
